Dental Implants at ADE

Missing teeth can be an embarrassing and frustrating problem. Tooth loss affects your health and wellness by disrupting your speech and eating habits. Losing one or more teeth increases the potential for remaining teeth to become damaged, prematurely worn out, or lost. You may also experience headaches and/or jaw pain due to an unnatural or compromised bite. Fortunately, dental implants are a proven and reliable solution to restoring the health, appearance, and function of your teeth. Call our office to schedule a consultation and discuss the prices and affordability of your dental implant needs.

Why Choose Dental Implants?

A dental implant is the gold standard for replacing a missing tooth. Used to replace one, several or all of your missing teeth, dental implants provide the most natural restoration with long lasting benefits:

  • Long Lasting Solution- Dental implants are one of the longest lasting dental restorations. A dental bridge will need to be replaced about every 10 years, but a dental implant can be expected to last 30 years or more.
  • Looks, Feels & Functions Like a Natural Tooth- A dental implant fuses to the living bone through a process known as osseo-integration to replace the tooth at its root. No other restoration can provide this same stability. With dental implants, you can eat, smile and speak the same (or better!) as you would with your natural teeth.
  • Maintains Bone Density- Bone loss is a common problem with missing teeth. As the bone recedes, it can create problems for other teeth and cause the face to sag or droop. A dental implant will help maintain bone density and the natural shape of your face and smile.
  • Permanent Fit- Dental implants stay in your mouth – that means you don’t have to soak them overnight or worry about losing them when you’re out enjoying life. With dental implants, you don’t have to use adhesives – that means you can taste and enjoy all the foods you love.

Dental Implant Procedure

Dental implants are titanium anchors, which act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone. Small posts are then attached to the implant. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

For most patients, the placement of dental implants involves two surgical procedures. First, implants are placed within your jawbone. For the first three to six months following surgery, the implants are beneath the surface of the gums, gradually bonding with the jawbone.

After the implant has bonded to the jawbone, the second phase begins. The implants will be uncovered through the gums, and we will attach a small healing collar to promote proper healing of the gums. The doctor can then start making your new teeth. An impression must be taken. Then posts or attachments can be connected to the implants. The replacement teeth are then made over the posts or attachments. The entire procedure usually takes six to eight months. Most patients do not experience any disruption of their daily life.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. Call us today to schedule an appointment.
